How to Qualify for a New Credit Card

With all of the credit card (tarjetas de credito) offers floating around out there, qualifying for a new credit card has never been easier. In fact, there are probably tens of credit card companies that are just chomping at the bit over the prospect of offering you a free credit card (tarjeta de credito gratis) today. How do you go about qualifying for one of these credit cards? The answer is simple.

In today’s loose credit market, it does not take a whole lot of financial prowess to qualify for a credit card. In fact, you can usually do so without so much as a positive credit history. They key, for most credit card companies, is that you have both a job and any number of bank accounts (cuentas bancarias). You don’t need to open up multiple bank accounts in order to satisfy this condition, either. You just have to have one in good standing so that you can make the payments on your new credit card.

On top of that, if you can show the ability to pay off your credit card in a timely manner with either a job or some other form of pension, then you can probably get access to a medium sized line of credit. It obviously will not be easy to secure large amounts of credit with little credit history, but a small line is given to almost anyone in this day and age.
