There are many reasons to install a flow controller. The main of course is to regulate the water pressure that you have coming into your home. It can also be useful if you are in the position of running an apartment complex and want to make sure that all of your tenants are receiving adequate pressure. You can do this with the use of an ultrasonic flow meter. This little device will allow you to insure that there is the right amount of pressure going to all of the units in your complex as well as to allow you to monitor the amount of water that is in use by each tenant. This will help you to determine if you need to increase the rent or if you will need to stop paying for the water yourself and have separate bills for each unit.
With a simple flow meter you will be able to see how much is being used as well as be able to determine how efficient your water flow system is. This little gadget can provide you with a multitude of information and allow you to make informed decisions on what will work best for you and your investment.
There is a Chili’s less than a mile from my house that I go to quite often. I’ve gotten to know the people that work there as well as a few of the customers that go there too. I guess you could call me a regular. I usually walk because the last thing I want is to get arrested for drinking and driving.
One of the regulars that goes there a lot always parks his motorcycle on the sidewalk. It’s one of those Harley clone bikes; I think it’s a Yamaha, but he’s yanked all the logos off so nobody can tell. Anyway, I think it is stupid for him to park there, so I took it upon myself to move it the other night. I thought it was funny as I pushed it around to the back of the building before settling in for a few cocktails. I told the bartender where it was before I left.
And that’s how I got arrested for stealing a motorcycle. I also learned that they like to set bail so high that common people have to go to a California bail bonds company (or I suppose if it were another state like Arizona it would be an Arizona bail bonds company). The point is that unless you want to hang out in jail until your trial, you have to hire a bail bondsman. Some people just have no sense of humor, and now I have to go to trial for moving this guy’s bike.
When I tuck my baby into bed, I want to make sure she is completely snug and comfortable. In fact, I want her to know that we are always with her, so that she does not end up being one of those kids that ends up afraid of the monsters in the dark.
Yeah, I have a feeling when she gets older those goods are going to embarrass her as a teenager. But whatever. For now they keep her safe, warm and happy in her bed, and as a parent that is all I can ask for. That, and that she becomes a doctor she buys me a new house. This one is the pits.
Customizing her bedding seemed like an unusual idea at the time, but now that I know I will have a very large blanker complete with her and my husband’s face, I know that not only will she feel safe while she is younger, but I will have something to embarrass her with in front of her friends. I’m pleased, that’s for sure.
The vet came out to visit my horse a couple of weeks ago. One of the first things he commented on was that my horse isn’t as big as he probably should be for 3 years old. It’s true — my horse is only about 14 hands (a little over four and a half feet tall) at the withers, which is the bony rise above a horse’s shoulders, usually right about where their mane ends.
Another owner at the barn also had a small three-year-old, so the vet talked to us about ways to grow taller for our horses. He said that sometimes improper nutrition will stunt a horse’s growth, but if you give them really good nutrition they could still catch up. I personally don’t think my horse will get any more height growth, however.
For one, I saw his mom before we rescued him, and she didn’t look that big either. We don’t know what his sire looked like, so for all we know he was really short too!
But for two, my horse has already been given really good nutrition since we rescued him. We knew he was really malnourished and probably stunted when we got him, and we had enough sense to try to remedy that then. All the good feed we gave him then didn’t help him grow taller, though, so I think this may just be how tall he was supposed to be — or maybe he was just so badly stunted that it couldn’t be reversed!
