I have a feeling I am going to be Miss Cranky Pants tonight.
I have been working really hard all day. And while my job is not physically strenuous in ways that you normally think of, sitting in a chair and typing for nearly ten hours straight takes a greater toll on your body than you would think.
My butt hurts from sitting. My shoulders and neck hurt from curving forward to type and looking down at my computer (a laptop). My eyes hurt from staring at the screen all day (and on only five and a half hours of sleep last night, too). I’m jittery and shaky from consuming too much caffeine, running my blood sugar too high (a combination of the caffeine and stress), and not eating very much all day (no time).
I wish I knew of some ways to take care of feeling crappy without drugging myself up. I’d take a hot bath tonight to relax, but it will probably put me right to sleep, and then I won’t be able to finish up the work I need to do later tonight!
I know there are some methods of getting rid of aches and pains naturally, such as using a healing magnet to dull or stop the pain signals to the brain. Believe it or not, these medical magnets have actually been proven in many studies to be effective, so they have become a popular method of alternative pain relief.
Without those options, though, I think I’ll have to settle for a hot bath and maybe even a back rub from my husband!

It took Wendy Whittaker five years to compile enough stories from people that had gone fly fishing in GA. Her husband being the son of a travel director that dealt with the region, she would often hear stories about fly fishing, though neither she nor anyone in her immediate family did that. The legend of the Toccoa Monster didn’t appear in any history books, nor in any official news source. The tale had apparently been told by a Georgia fly fishing guide, but nobody knew where his story originated from. There were quite a few people out there that have heard his story, and perhaps some of them believe it.
This legend, as legends typically are, passed on through conversation as well as perceived as a possibility of existing in reality. Although Wendy or Val, the travel director, didn’t see it as a real threat, it was interesting. The story went like this. The monster, with 3 eyes and a tail that protruded from the back of its head, would catch fish and hold them to the fishing lines. That is how it would attack people on a trout fishing trip, but it wouldn’t kill anybody. It had a taste for wood and would eat the boats, leaving the people stuck in the cold water.
